I believe that therapy is about building a relationship where we can work together to find avenues for change and where you feel comfortable being yourself. My approach to therapy is integrative and individualized to meet your needs. If you have learned about the various psychotherapy orientations, then it might be helpful to know that I integrate humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic modalities. I also find it important to attend to family dynamics and/or close interpersonal relationships, and how these relationships affect our lives. Additionally, I am mindful of the environmental, social, and cultural context in which my clients find themselves. My goal is to provide a safe environment where you feel free to discuss any issues you are facing. Most importantly, I believe that therapy is a co-creation between you and me and that we should work together in a way that best meets your needs.
